Tony Caen has been married to his wife Stephanie for 34 years, who is also a member of the board of trustees. They have two children, Samantha and Jonathan that began with TBT nursery school and continued their studies through their respective bat and bar mitzvah's. They have been temple members for 26 years. Tony is current chairperson of the Budget and Finanace Committee and has also been part of both nominating and pulpit committees at TBT.
Tony is currently a sales manager for a Long Island based mortgage brokerage and has been part of that industry for over 20 years.
Executive Vice President
Michael Schmidt has been honored to be a member of the Board of Trustees since July 2020, and looks forward to continuing to help make a difference in the Temple where he and his family have called “home” for more than 20 years. Mike is currently the Vice Chair of the Labor and Employment Department at the law firm of Cozen O’Connor, and the Office Managing Partner of the firm’s New York office. He also is the Chairman of the Board of After-School All-Stars of New York, a charity founded in the mid-1990s by Arnold Schwarzenegger to provide after-school and summer programs to underprivileged youth as an alternative to negative influences.
First Vice President
Naomi Mandell has been on the TBT board for four years and the executive board for three of those years. Naomi is also on the Board of Trustees at the Mid Island Y JCC. Naomi is a Director at Citigroup where she manages a team of investigators who conduct internal investigations. Naomi and her husband Josh live in Melville with their two children Ella and Max. Naomi and Josh are most excited to see Ella become a Bat Mitzvah at TBT this coming January, in the first of many family Simchas they hope to celebrate at TBT.
Amy Kreit has been on the board of TBT for over 5 years. She grew up in Dix Hills, attended Half Hollow Hills Schools, and raised her 2 children in our community. Her parents joined TBT over 40 years ago when she was in college, and it has been a part of all her life cycle events. She views TBT as an anchor to her community and Judaism.
Mary Resnick Chan
Mary Resnick-Chan has been married to Tony Chan for 24 good years. She has been a temple member and has served on the Board of Trustees for 16 years. She has been active in many committees at TBT and attends Shabbat Services regularly. She has served on the Executive Board as Financial Secretary in the past.
Mary is extremely proud of her son, Nathan, who attends Hofstra University where he studies Economics and plays rugby. Mary works at High School West and loves her job.
Robin Steinberg is married to Glenn Steinberg and they have 2 sons Samuel and Ryan. Robin is an LCSW and has been working in the social field for 32 years. The Steinberg’s have been TBT members for 16 years. Robin has been on the board of trustees for many years and has joined the executive board this year.
Elise has been on the board for almost 15 years, and has been on the Executive Board for about 10 years. She has been VP in the past and in most recent years has been the Recording Secretary. She has also been a member of TBT since the temple was born over 50 years ago, and her parents were founding members of the temple.

Brian Goldstein MD
Brian Goldstein has been married to Aimee Goldstein for over 30 years. They have 3 children- Zachary, Casey and Meri. They have been members of TBT since 2001. Brian has served as President of the congregation from 2021-23 and served on the Board, and Executive Board as well as chaired the Ritual Committee in the past. While not at TBT, Brian is a pediatrician and has been caring for Long Island’s children since 1996.
