This presentation will cite the facts from both the prosecution and defense perspectives that eventually led to the execution of
Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, they were found guilty of sharing secrets of the Atomic bomb with the Russians.
However, since their execution, there has come to light some new evidence that will be unveiled to you. It will then be up to you, the jury, to decide if the Rosenbergs were indeed guilty of espionage.

Rabbi Stephen Karol will trace the development of Jewish beliefs about the afterlife in Biblical times, the Rabbinic era, the Medieval period,
the Enlightenment, and Modern-Day Judaism. It answers the many questions Jews have about life after death and the questions Christians ask Jews about what we believe.
He was the Rabbi at Temple Isaiah in Stony Brook and teaches at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Stony Brook University as well as the
author of “Finding Hope and Faith In The Face Of Death: Insights Of A Rabbi And Mourner”

The Takeaway Men, tells the story of twin sisters, who, along with their parents, come to the U.S. from a DP Camp after the
Holocaust. In the years after World War II, they experience the difficulties of adjusting to American culture as well as the burgeoning fear
of the Cold War. As the girls get older, they start to wonder about their parents’ pasts, and they begin to demand answers.
The Takeaway Men explores the impact of immigration, Jewish identity, prejudice, secrets, and lies on parents and children
in mid-twentieth-century America.
Dr. Meryl Ain is a writer, author, and career educator. The Takeaway Men, her award-winning, debut novel, is the result of her life-long quest to learn more about the Holocaust, a thirst that was first triggered by reading The Diary of Anne Frank. She lives on Long Island with her husband, Stewart, a journalist.
